About

I’m a traditional artist (oils, acrylics, pencil, charcoal) who likes to write about various issues (usually art). This blog is a way to do that while still attempting to retain some anonymity.

Why the domain name “No puede ser”?

“No puede ser” means “It can’t be!” in Spanish. I’m not a native Spanish speaker, but have heard it said enough in my life. I just like the phrase. The .COM domain name was already taken, so I got .NET instead.

My art

If I’m going to write about art, I prefer to show some examples of my own artwork, to provide some sort of context. Like, what my art style is, my strengths, my skill level. The problem is, most of my best work is already available online and if I post it here, that blows the whole desire to remain anonymous. Until I can conjure something else up, here’s an oldie, that in no way looks like what I produce now. (But I still kind of like, for what it was.)

A pencil drawing I did when I was about 19 years old (gleaned from my ancient online art account). If loving Alain Delon was wrong, I didn’t want to be right! You can see the proportions and likeness are not “there” yet. But, I was still a kid, and this was before online tutorials were a thing like they are now. I was more or less left on my own to develop my drawing skills.
